ABOUT
Washington and Lee University’s General Activities Board (GAB) is the driving force behind the W&L entertainment scene. From events featuring student talent to large scale music festivals, GAB delivers unforgettable experiences that unite the W&L community.
While GAB faced a dip in student committee involvement and event attendance following the pandemic, a bold new rebrand has successfully assured that GAB is back.
From concerts featuring student bands to ones with names as big as Waka Flocka Flame or 49 Winchester, GAB continuously plans engaging events for the entire student body. The end of the year celebration, a revived annual spring music festival, goes beyond students to engage alumni and faculty as well.
GAB’s renewed vision focuses on creating innovative, inclusive events while fostering strong connections within the student body. From introducing participation rewards for active members to hosting events that reflect the diverse voices of campus, GAB is redefining what it means to entertain, engage, and inspire.
Like we said…GAB is BACK.
and this time we’re here to stay.
Mission Statement
GAB works to bring together students and alumni of all different backgrounds, uniting them through a shared love for music. Each year GAB seeks as many partnerships with different campus groups and student bands as possible to ensure our events reflect our mission.
